CAREGIVER EXHAUSTION DOESN'T ALWAYS LOOK LIKE EXHAUSTION.

Sometimes it looks like canceling plans because you can't leave Dad alone.

Sometimes it's waking up several times during the night.

Sometimes it's realizing you haven't been anywhere except work, the grocery store and doctor's appointments in weeks.

And sometimes it's sitting in the driveway for five extra minutes because you're simply tired.

Family caregivers give an incredible amount of themselves.

But loving someone with Alzheimer's doesn't mean you have to do everything alone.

Even a few hours of additional support can give a family caregiver time to rest, run errands, attend an appointment—or simply have a few hours where someone else is watching over the person they love.

Taking a break from caregiving doesn't mean taking a break from loving them. 💜

WORLD ALZHEIMER'S MONTH 💜

September is World Alzheimer's Month, and throughout this month, we're going to talk about something that affects so many families—but often happens quietly behind closed doors.

Alzheimer's doesn't only change life for the person diagnosed.

It changes life for the husband who now manages every part of his wife's day.

For the daughter trying to balance work, children, appointments and caring for Mom.

For the spouse who realizes that somewhere along the way, their husband or wife began to feel more like a patient than their partner.
