🔍 What You’ll Do
As a key player in our Revenue Cycle team, you will:
• Review outstanding hospital accounts by payer
• Investigate and resolve issues that delay or prevent payment
• Appeal denials and fight for correct reimbursement
• Partner closely with Billing Coordinators to ensure clean, accurate claim submissions
• Respond to inquiries regarding hospital claims, processing, and account status
• Help ensure accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service in every step
Your work directly supports the financial health of our system — and ensures we can keep serving our communities with exceptional care.
🎓 What You Bring
Required:
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, Medicare Secondary Payer rules, medical necessity screening, ABN rules, Red Flag Rules, and coding/billing compliance
• Understanding of Avita Health System (AHS) managed care payer rules
Preferred:
• Associate degree (or currently pursuing one)
• AAHAM or HFMA certification — or working toward certification
• Prior hospital billing experience
• Experience with third party billing, claim review, and account analysis
