I had to print another stack of these today… and honestly, it made me smile.

Over the last few days, we’ve had people stop by the clinic saying they’ve heard about us from a friend, seen us on Facebook, or found us through our website. Several asked if they could take extra flyers to share with family, friends, coworkers, or even their work.

That’s one of the greatest compliments we could receive.

If you’re new here, Mahler Family Medicine is a Direct Primary Care practice in Gallatin. We don’t bill insurance (although you can still have insurance), which means we get to spend our time taking care of patients instead of paperwork. Our members have direct access to their care team, same- or next-day appointments when available, transparent pricing, wholesale labs and medications, and healthcare that’s built around relationships instead of rushed visits.

Every person who shares our name helps another family discover that healthcare really can feel different. We’re incredibly grateful for every recommendation and every conversation.

If you’ve been curious about us, stop by, send us a message, or share this with someone who might be looking for a different healthcare experience.

This weekend someone asked us,

“Do you think you’ll ever have to start accepting insurance?”

It was a great question.

The answer is no, and it’s intentional.

We didn’t build Mahler Family Medicine around insurance. We built it around people.

The traditional insurance model often means more time spent on billing, coding, prior authorizations, and paperwork than actually caring for patients. It also means that too often, someone who has never met you gets a say in your healthcare.

We wanted something different.

We wanted the freedom to spend more time with patients, answer texts after hours, offer same-day appointments when possible, and help people access medications and labs at prices that often cost less than going through insurance.

This model allows us to focus on the relationship between you and your doctor, not the paperwork.

Many of our members still have health insurance.

They simply use it for the things it’s designed for such as hospitalizations, surgeries, specialists, imaging, and major medical events—while using their membership for the primary care they rely on throughout the year.

If you’ve ever wondered how Mahler family Medicine works, send us a message or give us a call. We love having these conversations.

Why? Because it’s worth it. 🫶

Every time we add another flag to this map, it means something.

Today we’re adding two new ones... and they’re both quite a ways away.

When we dreamed of opening Mahler Family Medicine here at home, our hope was simple: to give people in our rural communities a place to receive great, accessible healthcare without having to drive to the city.

What we never expected was people choosing to drive from the city to us.

That tells me this experience is worth it.

Having a doctor in your pocket is worth it.

Being able to text your doctor or care team 24/7 when you have a question is worth it.

The savings on medications and labs are worth it.

Feeling known instead of just another appointment is worth it.

This map is more than pins on a wall. It’s a reminder that people from all over have decided their healthcare is worth making the drive.

And for that, we’re incredibly grateful.

At first glance, it’s just a little coloring table.

But Sunday night, it reminded us why relationships really do matter.

This weekend, after getting home around 10:30 on a Sunday night, Dr. Mahler met one of our established pediatric patients at the clinic to take care of an injury that needed stitches.

Yes, we were able to help her avoid an ER visit.

But that’s actually not the part of the story that means the most to us.

The best part? She walked in smiling, excited to see her doctor, chatting about her day like she was visiting a friend. By the time everything was finished, she wanted to stay and color for a while before heading home.

That’s what happens when your physician truly knows your family.

Kids are more comfortable.
Parents are less stressed.
Care feels personal instead of rushed.

For us, Mahler Family Medicine has never been just about same-day appointments or after-hours access (although those matter too). It’s about building relationships so that when something unexpected happens, you already have someone you trust.

Medicine is different when your doctor knows your name, and your child is excited to see them.

We wouldn’t have it any other way. 🫶

Yesterday, one of our members wasn’t feeling well.

Instead of wondering where to go or sitting in a waiting room, they came straight to us.

In one visit, we were able to:
✔️ Access their port safely.
✔️ Give IV fluids for hydration.
✔️ Draw stat labs.
✔️ Administer an injection.
✔️ Create a plan based on real answers—not guesswork.

As a nurse, moments like these remind me why I love what I do.

I’ve cared for patients in the ICU, Labor & Delivery, rural healthcare, and long-term care. Every experience has prepared me to care for people when they need it most.

One thing I especially love about working alongside Dr. Zach Mahler is that we can provide this level of care right here in our clinic. Many people don’t realize how much can be done in a family physician’s office when you have a physician and experienced nursing team working side by side.

Our members have access to things like IV hydration, procedures, in-house labs, medications, and same-day care—all in a familiar place with a team that already knows them.

Healthcare should be personal.
It should be accessible.
And it should never feel like you’re just another number.

That’s the kind of clinic we’re proud to build every single day.

We’re grateful for the trust and honored to serve patients from communities all across Northwest Missouri and beyond.

Thank you for helping us grow and choosing to be part of the family. 🫶

A sinus infection. A cat bite. A sick kid. ✅

Three different concerns. Three different patients. All handled with a simple text and access to their physician on a Sunday morning.

This is one of the biggest benefits of being established with Mahler Family Medicine.

When you’re a member, you have direct access to your doctor, not an answering service, not a call center, not a portal message that gets answered days later.

Sickness or accidents don’t just happen Monday through Friday from 8–5. Life happens after hours, on weekends, and when it’s least convenient.

That’s exactly why we built the clinic the way we did. To bring accessible care back to the community.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads or father figures out there!

Until now. 🩺✨

At Mahler Family Medicine, this is exactly the kind of care we’re building.

The kind where you’re not rushed out the door in 7 minutes.
The kind where your concerns aren’t brushed off.
The kind where your doctor actually has time to listen, ask questions, and help get to the root of the problem, not just throw a bandaid on symptoms.

Because healthcare should feel personal again.

This is one of the biggest reasons families are choosing Direct Primary Care:
✔️ Longer appointments
✔️ Direct access to your doctor
✔️ Same/next-day visits
✔️ Care focused on YOU, not insurance company rules

You deserve a provider who knows your name, your story, and genuinely cares about your health.

Curious how it works or how to pair with your insurance?
Visit our website at mahlerfamilymedicine.com or give us a call. Happy to help figure out what makes the most sense for you!
