During Staff Appreciation Week, we were reminded just how fortunate we are to have such an incredible community supporting our team!

A huge thank you to our Parent Committee, Domino's Pizza, Knights of Columbus, River Front Nutrition, Twinkleberries, and Reyes for helping make the week so special through your generosity, participation, and donations.

Your kindness and support helped make our staff feel truly appreciated and valued. We are grateful for the strong partnerships and community connections that make a positive difference for our employees every day. Thank you for helping us celebrate the amazing individuals who serve our students, families, and community! 💙

Water Day Fun! Part 1
Splashes, smiles, and sunshine! ☀️💦 Our students had an amazing time during Water Day enjoying inflatable water slides, pool toys, and plenty of opportunities to cool off and have fun with friends. The laughter, excitement, and big smiles made for a day full of unforgettable memories. Here are some of our favorite moments!

We were honored to join the County Commissioners on April 16th for the reading of the Autism Awareness Proclamation in recognition of Autism Awareness and Acceptance. This meaningful event highlighted the importance of inclusion, understanding, and support for individuals with autism and their families throughout our community.

Following the proclamation, we hosted a Community of Care Luncheon attended by county leaders, family members, providers, and individuals we serve. The luncheon provided a wonderful opportunity to strengthen community connections, share resources, and celebrate the partnerships that help support individuals with developmental disabilities across Gallia County.

Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to advocate for awareness, acceptance, and inclusion every day. Together, we are building a stronger and more supportive community for all. 💙

🌟 Staff Shoutout 🌟

This month, we are proud to recognize Lisa, our incredible school nurse! 💙

Lisa consistently goes above and beyond to support both our students and staff each and every day. From morning drop-off to afternoon pick-up, she is always stepping in with a helping hand, ensuring students are cared for and classrooms run smoothly.

Staff and families shared that Lisa is not only an amazing nurse, but also a wonderful coworker and friend. She checks on students throughout the day, takes pride in everything she does, and truly makes each day better for everyone around her.

Her compassion, dedication, and willingness to help never go unnoticed. We are so grateful for the care and positivity she brings to our school community every single day.

One preschool student says, "Nurse Lisa is my best friend for life" and that pretty much sums up her ability to connect with students as well as their families and our team here at GCBDD.
