A whole new world none of us want to imagine.
We're saddened by the passing of the legendary Peabo Bryson, who reportedly died following a stroke. His voice was the soundtrack to so many of life's most tender moments and his loss is a heartbreaking reminder of just how serious stroke can be.
Here's the part that matters: stroke is often preventable. Dr. Ashlie Booth, our board-certified family medicine physician, shares three things you can start doing today:
Getting the key conditions under control high blood pressure is the #1 cause of stroke. Keep diabetes and high cholesterol in check too. Move your body, aim for exercise at least 5 days a week. Eat to protect your heart, load up on fruits and veggies, get enough protein, and keep it low-fat.
At Healing Beyond The Stethoscope, we believe in unhurried, relationship-driven care, the kind that catches these risks early and partners with you to manage them for life.
Don't wait for a wake-up call. Let's build your prevention plan together.
