We're excited to announce that we officially have a new County Extension Agent joining us here in Glasscock County!

WHAT A WEEK!
Glasscock County 4-H had a total of 17 members participate in contests all week! Several of which got a chance to walk the big stage.
Clayton - Entomology ID & Entomology collection contest
Landry - 5th place food show🏆
Bronc - photography judging
Ag Product ID - Waylyn, Sadie, Grady, Katelyn
Qualifying Livestock Judging - Miles, Katie, Tatum, Wyatt - 5th place sheep and Goat 🏆
Food Challenge - Claire, Ivy, Sydnee & Emily
Invitational Livestock Judging - Katelyn
Wildlife Challenge - Grady
Public Speaking - Ivy
4-H Skit - Abigail, Clayton, Bronc, Landry, Kyler 3rd Place 🏆
Educational Presentation Swine - Katie STATE CHAMPION🏆

Sadie, Lacy, Waylyn, Miles and Tatum also attended their scholarship banquets and received their scholarships during the assemblies!

Russell & Kim Halfmann were also recognized for The Salute To Excellence award for all of their hard work and dedication towards the 4-H Program!🍀

Miles & Tatum retired their jackets on Thursday night and everyone got to celebrate at the Aaron Watson Concert!

To end things for the week, Bronc attended the Photography Ambassadors workshop at the new 4-H center and we all loaded up & headed home!

Thank you to the kids for representing the best of 4-H and to all of the coaches and mentors who got them to this point and who jumped in on all of the craziness this week!

Ready for next year!!

6 DAYS UNTIL TEXAS 4-H ROUNDUP! Remember that district tug-o-war contest we hinted about? It's part of a much BIGGER district-wide contest. At the end of the week, we'll award the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place districts a monetary prize for the most accumulated points. To gain points for your district: attend the assembly and scan the QR code, attend workshops, participate in the on-stage assembly games, yell loud for the spirit stick, complete the Roundup scavenger hunt, and get as involved as you can throughout the entire week. Let's hear it again... which district is going to win???
