BIG NEWS 🩺 Garden City Community College has been awarded a $3.4 million grant through the Kansas Rural Health Transformation Program to help expand healthcare workforce and training opportunities across western Kansas.

As the lead institution for the "Frontline Futures" partnership, GCCC will collaborate with Newman University, Colby Community College, and Seward County Community College to create new healthcare training opportunities:

🟡Diagnostic Medical Sonography program launches in Garden City through Newman University (Fall 2026)

🟤Accelerated Radiologic Technology program coming to Garden City through Newman University (Fall 2027)

🟡Community Health Worker & Registered Medical Assistant programs from GCCC expanding to Seward County Community College & Colby Community College

The GCHS Certified Nurse Aide cohort is strolling around GCCC campus on this beautiful day learning how to ambulate residents with special devices on their first day of lab. They gave President Dr. Ruda, VP Colin Lamb, and Dean Tammy Tabor some tips on ambulating too.
