A closer look at removing one of the major causes of shoulder pain.

In this procedure, Dr. Rovner is removing a bone spur from inside the shoulder using an arthroscopic approach. With a small camera and specialized instruments, he’s able to treat the area through very small incisions.

Shoulder pain can show up in similar ways, but the injury behind it can be very different. 🔎

From Bankart tears linked to shoulder dislocations to SLAP tears commonly seen with repetitive overhead activity, the location and type of labral tear matter when deciding what comes next.

Waiting weeks for care when you're in pain is frustrating, and unfortunately it's the norm in orthopedics.

Getting in to see a surgeon often takes two to four weeks. Then come the X-rays, the MRI, a round of physical therapy and suddenly it's been three to five weeks before treatment has even started.

That's why I see patients urgently. An earlier evaluation means we can identify what's actually going on and begin treatment sooner, so you can get back to work, your family, and your life! 🤍

Chronic hip pain can be frustrating, especially when rest and conservative treatments aren’t getting you back to where you want to be.

When imaging reveals a labral tear or other damage inside the hip, hip arthroscopy may be an option. Using small incisions and a camera, I can address the source of the problem while minimizing disruption to the surrounding tissue.

Every hip is different, and the right treatment starts with understanding what’s causing your pain. 🩻

Persistent neck pain or discomfort that radiates into your shoulders and arms doesn’t always mean surgery.

Cervical epidural steroid injections are a minimally invasive treatment that delivers anti-inflammatory medication directly around the affected nerves, helping reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve mobility.

If conservative treatments haven’t provided the relief you need, this may be an option worth exploring. 🤍

Staying active as you get older means adapting how you prepare your body for movement.

Dr. Rovner explains why conditioning becomes increasingly important with age and how consistent training, both in-season and off-season, can help you continue performing at a high level.

Age may change how you train, but it doesn’t have to stop you from doing what you love. 💪
