I have been debating whether or not I should post something about this on my page. It feels wrong to not speak up just because I’m scared to lose business. It feels selfish to have waited this long. But this has all been too much. And they’re coming for California next again. Kultura Tattoo is located in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, the community that is directly under attack from this administration. Continuing to stay silent would contradict the founding values of Kultura Tattoo. It would be a contradiction of my personal values. So again, if you don’t like that this shop is using its voice to speak out, then you can f**k off. F**k ICE and f**k Trump.

A moment frozen the old way.
This tintype was taken at the Oddities & Curiosities Exchange Expo in San Diego by — made slowly, intentionally, and by hand.

Tintype photography dates back to the 1800s. It’s created on a thin metal plate, developed in real time, and every image is one of one — no negatives, no copies, no retakes.

It felt like the right way to reflect on 2025 so far.
Slower. More present. More honest.
Choosing intention over urgency. 🖤
