Everyone talks about color theory, pigments, and needle configurations, but one of the most overlooked skills in Lip Blush is proper stretching.
The skin on the lips is extremely thin, delicate. Without the right stretch, pigment implantation becomes inconsistent, saturation can look patchy, and unnecessary trauma can occur.

💋 Key Tips for Stretching the Outer Lips:

✔️ Create a firm, controlled stretch, not an aggressive pull.
✔️ Keep the skin taut and stable so the needle can implant pigment evenly.
✔️ Use multiple points of tension instead of relying on one hand.
✔️ Follow the natural contour of the vermilion border.
✔️ Adjust your stretch as you move through different sections of the lips.

Remember: Every area of the lips requires a different stretching technique. The outer border, corners, and inner lips all behave differently and should be treated differently.

A beautiful healed result isn't just about pigment choice, it's about proper skin management throughout the procedure.

💋 WHAT ARE OMBRÉ ?
Ombré Lip Blush is a cosmetic tattoo technique that creates a soft gradient of color, enhancing your natural lips with subtle definition, dimension, and a fuller-looking appearance.

Ombré lips heal soft, airy, and effortlessly natural.

✨ Client Benefits:
• Enhances natural lip color
• Creates the illusion of fuller lips
• Corrects uneven pigmentation
• Low-maintenance beauty that lasts years

⚠️ Things to Know:
• Color appears brighter before healing
• A touch-up may be needed
• Final results develop around 4-6 weeks

🎨 Artist Insight:
Beautiful ombré lips aren't created by packing more pigment, they're created through strategic saturation, seamless transitions, and understanding the healed result.

The biggest misconception? Ombré Lips are not a lipstick tattoo.

Think: Your lips, only more defined, balanced, and beautiful. ✨

Not all ombré brows heal the same and the difference is usually in the technique.

WHY OMBRÉ HEALS PATCHY 👇
• Uneven pressure throughout the brow
• Overlapping passes too aggressively
• Implanting too deep into the skin
• Poor stretch causing inconsistent pixels
• Trying to achieve darkness too quickly
• Oversaturating damaged or thin skin

✔️Keep the front soft and airy
✔️ Build saturation slowly in layers
✔️ Maintain consistent hand movement
✔️ Focus on clean pixel placement
✔️ Stretch the skin properly for even implantation
✔️ Let the machine do the work. Avoid forcing!

Beautiful healed ombré brows come from controlled layering, smooth gradients, and patience, not heavy pressure.

In this carousel, I’m breaking down 3 different shading styles: ⭐️Airy pixels ⭐️Balanced saturation ⭐️Velvet shading

They say people learn from their mistakes. It’s just that usually, a mistake can be thrown in the back of the closet or deleted from the group chat. A bad brow decision? That’s front and center for the next 2 to 3 years.

Before every correction, I’m looking at the existing pigment load not just the color.

✔️ DO:
• Evaluate how saturated the old brows still are
• Check if there’s enough negative space for new strokes to show
• Stay conservative with density if pigment is still visible
• Choose techniques that work WITH what’s left behind
• Educate clients that softer corrections often heal prettier

🚫 DON’T:
• Add more saturation over already saturated brows
• Use dark pigment to force coverage
• Layer strokes on top of dense old work (they can blur together)
• Ignore skin condition after laser/removal
• Promise “brand new brows” if old pigment is still competing underneath

With correction work, more ink ≠ better results 👀
Sometimes the best decision is less saturation, more strategy.

This client still had a slight residual tint after removal, so the goal wasn’t to overpower it. it was to create natural dimension and let the brows breathe 🤍

Not all brows are created equal — and that’s the beauty of PMU 🤍

Different techniques create completely different healed results depending on the look you love.

▫️ Nano Brows → ultra-realistic machine strokes for the softest, most natural “I woke up like this” brows
▫️ Microblading → crisp hair strokes done manually for a natural look with a slightly more defined healed result
▫️ Combo (Light Shading) → mostly hair strokes with soft shading at the tail for a natural + polished finish
▫️ Combo (Moderate Shading) → soft strokes in the front with more shading throughout for that balanced makeup-meets-natural look
▫️ Ombre Shading → the most filled-in style with a soft powder effect (can still heal beautifully soft depending on the technique)

The best part? You don’t have to figure it out alone
We always go over shape, size, style, and your goals BEFORE moving forward. Nothing is done until YOU approve.

Still unsure? DM me “CONSULT” and I’ll help you decide.

One of the biggest misconceptions is thinking darker = better. In reality… softer usually heals prettier.

Semi-permanent makeup is designed to be soft & natural👌 An enhancement, not a replacement for makeup.

Why it fades:
✔️Gentler technique
✔️More superficial implantation (shallower depth)
✔️Softer saturation
✔️PMU-specific pigments that naturally break down over time
✔️Your skin + lifestyle + immune system all play a role

A well-done PMU should gradually soften into a light shadow over time, not stay super dark, blocky, or harsh.

And here’s the part people don’t talk about enough:

Less is MORE when you’re new to PMU. You can always add more, but if brows are implanted too dark, too deep, or too saturated… removal is often needed before redesigning.

Think of PMU like a tinted moisturizer, not full coverage foundation 😏
