This September, we recognize Hunger Action Month—a time to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity and remind our community that every action can make a difference.

At Mississinewa Community Schools, we believe every student deserves access to nutritious meals that help them learn, grow, and succeed.

🍳 Breakfast is FREE for ALL students.
🍎 Lunch is FREE for ALL students.

Whether your student eats with us every day or just occasionally, they are always welcome at our tables!

Together, we can continue building a stronger, healthier, and hunger-free community.

🍎 **Offer vs. Serve: Giving Students Choices!** 🥦

At **Northview Elementary (NV), R.J. Baskett Middle School (RJB), and Mississinewa High School (MHS)**, we use **Offer vs. Serve** during lunch!

Offer vs. Serve allows students to make choices while helping reduce food waste. Students are offered all **5 meal components**:

🍞 Grains
🍗 Protein
🥦 Vegetables
🍎 Fruit
🥛 Milk

Students must select **at least 3 of the 5 components**, and **at least one selection must include a fruit or vegetable**.

Students are always welcome to take all five! Our goal is to give students choices while making sure they have access to a nutritious, balanced meal each school day.
