Did you know that manager Megan from RJ Baskett Middle School is also our department gardener? 🌱🍅🥒

Our school gardens are growing, blooming, and getting ready to provide fresh produce for our students! Across Mississinewa Community Schools, we’re proud to incorporate food grown right here on our campuses into our meal program whenever possible.

From planting and watering to harvesting and serving, our team is helping students connect with where their food comes from while providing fresh, local ingredients. 🌽🥬

Here’s a look at the beginning of the journey. We can’t wait to share more photos and updates as everything grows throughout the season!

We're excited to continue serving children throughout the summer with both on-site meals and upcoming Grab & Go meal bags. 🚗💨

☀️ Even though school is out for summer, our Child Nutrition team is still hard at work behind the scenes! 🍎🥪

Food prep continues daily as we keep our summer meal service running for our students and community. ❤️

Please see the graphic in the images for meal locations and times. One important update: the High School meal service has been extended until 12:30 PM, but this adjustment applies to the High School location only. ⏰
