💪 Personal Trainer Tip of the Day 💪

Don’t just count your reps—make your reps count.

Slow down the movement and focus on proper form. Control the weight on the way up and especially on the way down. That controlled lowering phase builds strength, improves muscle definition, and helps reduce the risk of injury.

Remember:
✅ Quality over quantity
✅ Full range of motion
✅ Consistent effort beats occasional intensity

The best workout isn’t the one where you lift the heaviest weight—it’s the one that helps you come back stronger tomorrow.

A little behind the scenes of what's going on with Braxton Balanced Nutrition this week. 🌸

On Monday, June 8th I'm setting up a table at Ultimate Fitness here in Gastonia at 5:30 pm to meet members, share some snacks, and just talk nutrition.

As someone who has always been active, I know firsthand how much the right nutrition changes everything. Not just in the gym, but in how you feel every single day. 🏋️‍♀️

Nutritional tip of the day: Eating Carbs and Protein Together Triggers Muscle Building.

Eating carbs and protein together triggers insulin release, which stimulates muscle building.
Carbs are protein-sparing, meaning when you eat enough your body uses protein for what it is actually meant for.

Without enough carbs, protein gets burned for energy instead.

Exercise snacking

If your one of those people who is at a desk or pretty stationary during the day , consider exercise snacking , do 15 air squats about every hour , or some other type of calisthenics, this will keep you from feeling so bound up at the end of the day and keep the blood flowing , same thing will work on a long drive , do some push ups at the rest area or gas station. Little things add up to amazing conclusions.
