Moments like these are only possible because of the incredible teamwork between our flight crews and our outstanding ground partners. From first contact to patient handoff, everyone plays a vital role in delivering the best possible care.

Standby Request? We’re Already Moving.

When our team is placed on standby, the mission starts long before the engines turn. The first critical moments of flight planning are already underway.

While the sending team works through the final details, we begin preparing every aspect of the flight that we can—reviewing routes, checking weather, coordinating logistics, and getting mission-ready.
So when the official activation comes, there’s only one thing left to do:

Start the engine and go ✈️

Being on standby doesn’t mean waiting. It means preparing for a rapid, safe, and efficient response when every minute counts.

Last week, Flight Paramedics Stephen and Josh had the opportunity to reconnect with an old friend, Andrew. Not only is Andrew our neighbor here in Otsego County, but he also worked alongside both of them years ago!
It’s always fun to see familiar faces and celebrate the connections that make our community strong.
