Today, we’re celebrating the incredible pharmacy technicians who keep Care Pharmacy running smoothly day in and day out! We may be a little biased, but we truly believe we have the hardest-working pharmacy technicians out there! 🙌

From helping our patients and keeping prescriptions moving to answering questions and handling all the behind-the-scenes details, these ladies do SO much to make sure our patients receive the care they deserve. We couldn’t do it without them!

💊 Ask the Pharmacist: Are You Taking Too Many Vitamins?

The question: “Can taking too many vitamins or supplements actually be harmful?”

The answer: Vitamins and supplements can be helpful, but more isn’t always better! Taking multiple supplements or combining them with certain medications can lead to unwanted side effects or interactions. Some vitamins can even build up in your body when taken in excessive amounts.

Before starting a new supplement, check with your pharmacist to make sure it’s safe, necessary, and right for you. Your pharmacist can also help you spot ingredients you may be doubling up on without realizing it!

The 2026 Georgetown Wooden Boat Show is almost here! Please be aware of the upcoming road and dock closures throughout downtown Georgetown this weekend.

💊 ASK THE PHARMACIST: Can I take more than one cold medicine at the same time? 🤧

🤔 The answer: Be careful! Many cold and flu medicines contain the same active ingredients. Taking more than one product could mean accidentally getting too much of a medication, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), which can cause serious liver damage.

For example, some multi-symptom cold medicines already contain acetaminophen, so adding Tylenol could put you over the recommended daily limit.

✅ Here are a few tips to stay safe:
• Check the Active Ingredients section on every medication label.
• Avoid doubling up on products with the same active ingredients.
• Ask your pharmacist which products are right for your symptoms.
• Always check with your pharmacist before combining medications, especially if you take prescription medicines or have other health conditions.
