Thank you Chief Rusty Berry for the undying dedication to the success and development of GFPD and its community, Amey Morgan for getting the food and serving the food, thank you AirLife for the display of landing the helicopter and teaching us and the community of the importance your occupation brings. Thank you Georgetown Fair Board, and THANK YOU for all of the volunteers that showed up today to make it as much of a success as it was.

Our AirLife event is starting here in just a few moments. Bring your family and friends!

Posted in the pictures you’ll see our Safe House. This is an occasion that kids can experience what a house may look like full of smoke. Educating everyone through experiencing, first hand what to do when you are caught in a house fire via simulation of a smoke machine. AirLife is landing here at 12:00pm so you can experience the helicopter which is used to transport patients from scene to a trauma center. Come out! We have hot dogs and lemonade out for lunch. And a few little gifts for the kids.

Today some our fire department crew went to Pinecrest school for fire prevention week and talked to the students. Thank you for allowing our crew to come to the school and all the kids had a lot of questions and we hope they learned something today. To the young ladies working at subway today in Georgetown thank you for getting us in and out of there very quickly you did a great job today for us. We hope you enjoy the pictures and don’t forget about this coming Saturday at the fair grounds with our air life event and we’ll have the safety house there as well. There is a video in the comments of the kids learning about stop drop and roll from one of crew members as well.
