A fall rarely starts with the fall.
It often starts when stability quietly changes.
Try this near a sturdy counter or chair:
- Stand on one foot with support nearby.
- Time how long you feel steady.
- Notice whether one side feels less secure.
Ten seconds can be a useful personal baseline.
Balance depends on more than balance practice. Your feet, legs, hips, posture, and skeletal strength all work together.
At OsteoStrong Austin and Georgetown, we use once-weekly musculoskeletal conditioning to help members build strength from the ground up.
This is not a diagnosis. It is a reason to pay attention early.
Which feels less steady for you - your left side or right side?
