Strong strategic planning requires more than a great plan. It requires a board that understands its role in moving that plan forward.
Join Georgetown Health Foundation on October 1 for an in-person training led by Becky Pastner focused on the board’s role in strategic planning.

Together, we’ll explore how board members and nonprofit leaders can work more effectively through the planning process, get clearer on roles and responsibilities, and keep the organization grounded in its mission as it looks ahead.

Good work takes work.

Make room for a good conversation. Hear a different perspective. Spend time with people asking some of the same questions you are.

We believe those opportunities matter, and we’re looking forward to creating more of them for local nonprofits and their boards.

More to come!

Bridges to Growth at The Georgetown Project creates a warm, supportive community for moms and kids, helping families build connection, confidence, and a strong foundation for the future.

And sometimes, support looks like more than one service or one solution. It looks like a family finding a community that sees them, believes in them, and shows up when they need it most.

That’s what community health looks like.

We're celebrating alongside Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association (GCCMA) on an incredible milestone. The 2026 Backpack Project didn't just meet its goal of 2,000 backpacks, it exceeded it.

This kind of impact doesn't happen without a community showing up for each other. Volunteers stuffed and organized backpacks, checked in families, directed traffic, carried boxes, greeted every family with a smile, and jumped in wherever they were needed. What stood out wasn't just the work itself, but the spirit behind it: cooperation, patience, laughter, and a true sense of family from start to finish.

And the impact didn't stop at distribution. Backpacks that remained were sent on to other organizations serving families in need, so every single one will still find its way to a child who needs it this school year.

Congratulations to GCCMA and every volunteer who made this possible. This is exactly the kind of community-powered work we're proud to support!

This Saturday, August 8th, the Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association (GCCMA) is hosting their Backpack Distribution Day at The Carver Center for Families, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM.

Last year's drive helped local students head back to school with the supplies they needed and the confidence to match. Take a look back at the impact!

We are grateful for community partners like GCCMA who show up for Georgetown families year after year.

When federal emergency food funding disappeared, the Meals on Wheels program through Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties kept every route running and every senior fed.

No waitlist. No gap in care. Just neighbors making sure neighbors don't go without.

Follow Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties and see their mission to serve neighbors in need, one family at a time!

Calling all Board Chairs and Executive Directors: this one's for pairs.

Alignment at the top doesn't happen by accident. On July 24, you'll work side by side to clarify roles, build a feedback culture that holds under pressure, and leave with 2-3 working agreements you built together, ready to put into practice right away.

This session is led by Susan Decker, a leading expert in nonprofit governance and strategy.

Bring your counterpart. This one's better together!
