Mr. Christoper Wu touched the hearts of The Arbors Personal Care Community at St. Barnabas patient and family with his beautiful performance. Thanks to St. Barnabas Hospice for such a wonderful service! ❤️❤️❤️
"There are truly no words to express how grateful our family is to Chris Wu for the beautiful gift he gave to my mom, my sister and me.
Chris generously volunteered his time to come to the chapel at my mom’s personal care community and play his violin for her during the final days of her life. Knowing that Chris has played with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra made it even more extraordinary, but what touched us most was the reason he was there—simply to use his incredible gift to bring comfort, peace, and beauty to someone at the end of life.
My mom was not awake while Chris played, but we believe she could still hear the beautiful music surrounding her. There was something incredibly peaceful and moving about watching him play for her and knowing that, even when she could no longer respond, music could still reach her in a way that words could not.
Chris has felt called to share his music with people during this stage of life, and after experiencing it ourselves, I cannot imagine a more meaningful use of his extraordinary talent. What he provided wasn’t a performance—it was an act of kindness, compassion, and love.
Thank you, Chris, for sharing not only your remarkable talent, but also your heart."
