🎀With Charcot Marie Tooth Disease…. Every single day becomes a battle all in itself.🎀 …I have three forms of ataxia as well — one affecting my spinal column.

🩷8 months ago I was diagnosed with CMT2Q via Genetics at Mayo Clinic during an emergency hospital stay.
💙8 months ago I was told theoretically there’s no chance I’d walk again
❤️8 weeks was how long I stayed in the hospital and did inpatient physical therapy rehabilitation as extensive care.
🖤8 months ago I began intense neurological physical therapy outpatient ,occupational therapy and speech therapy.
♥️3 times a week , every week. No breaks.
🩶8 months ago… I didn’t see me celebrating a birthday..
💚3 days ago I turned 41.
Yesterday I did something I was told 8months ago I’d never do.
💕❣️ 1 day ago, I walked ❣️💕

⭐️— 💥DISCLAIMER💥: ..Now I know I am far from perfect, but I took MY OWN steps‼️ 🎀 I am in a harness for my safety and theirs.🎀⭐️

🎀Currently working on myself for myself 🎀
🌸I took two good falls that set me back for a minute, but just as the bow and arrow — I get pulled back to only go further in the end 🌸
🩷This CMT2Q is relentless🩷
🍀Luckily I have a great care team by my side (and hubby).If you haven’t yet, find yourself a good Neuro physical therapist gym. It’s also a plus if they are CMT educated 🍀

💛I kinda chuckle today … because an hour after posting this on my personal page…💛

…. I took a fall on my left side after a year. 🫠

I am fine and there’s nothing broken but my ego… ‼️

👉🏾⭐️ Secretly though I am VERY happy that I DO have 40% muscle to fall back on AND bounce back recover with … with CMT2Q — it’s the little things that help👉🏾⭐️

🚫We are 0 days WITHOUT incident.

💙🦋 I said I’d be hitting it harder at home..WELP .heres me at home. 💙🦋
👉🏾I’ve been putting my wheelchair further away from where I sit and forcing myself to walk.👏🏽
💥I feel like one shouldn’t have to FORCE their own self to walk further , but with CMT .. we unfortunately…all too well understand this. 💥
💙🤟🏽👏🏼 I am slowly regaining independence 👏🏽💙🤟🏽
