Hey! It’s Courtney
A little about me… I’ve been a stylist for 17 years. Most of my time is spent doing color. I love a big transformation or getting full creative control. It keeps me engaged, seeking to better my skills and up on current trends.

My husband and I have an almost 6 year old daughter. She is my forever Starbucks and shopping partner. We also have a dog, a cane corso named Otis.

I love to read. Both physical books and audio. Last year, Goodreads clocked me in with 91 books. 📚

I also enjoy running. I ran 3 races this summer. I have a goal to someday run a major marathon for Autism speaks.

I love baking sourdough, true crime documentaries and soaking up the summer sun like a lizard. I love a good grilled cheese and I will never turn down a coffee (Hint, hint 😝)

Let’s meet the girls! (Look at us trying to be better with our social media 🤪)

Hi 👋! If you are new here, I’m Sarah. Owner of The Root-Salon and Cosmetics. I opened the shop almost 9 1/2 yrs ago. Seems impossible that much time has gone by! I have been a cosmetologist for almost 15yrs and a permanent cosmetic technician for almost 11yrs. First off, thank you to all of my clients that have stuck with me over all these years and supported my small business and supported all of my life changes. My schedule has changed quite a bit the last few years as my husband and I have welcomed two beautiful babies. Being a mom has been the absolute best!! What did I ever do without them?! I am so lucky to be their mom and be able to spend time with them. We also have two fur kids that are so loved! If you know my husband and I you know we like to stay busy. Between our full time careers we have other “side” businesses (I swear my husband is the Jack of all trades), love to travel when we can, and stay so busy with children and fur babes! We never slow down it seems! And I wouldn’t have it any other way 🤍 I love my job because of my clients! Because of all of you! My business is possible because of you! Your support has meant so much! I’m so incredibly grateful for long time clients and new coming clients that come into the shop and make this place possible. We hope to always make a place that is enjoyable, relaxing and welcoming!
