The Girard Medical Center Foundation is excited to announce that we received a $149,796 Healthcare Innovation Grant from the Patterson Family Foundation!

This incredible investment will help modernize operating rooms at Girard Medical Center by purchasing new, critical surgical equipment. Every dollar of the grant will go directly toward new equipment that will help:

🏥 Improve patient and staff safety
🩺 Strengthen infection prevention
⚕️ Support efficient, high-quality surgical care
💙 Invest in the future of healthcare in our community

Girard Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registration Clerk to join our team! This position plays an important role in welcoming patients to our hospital and helping ensure a smooth check-in experience.

Responsibilities include:
• Patient registration and check-in
• Data entry
• Mail distribution
• Prior authorizations
• Claim corrections
• Other clerical duties as assigned

We’re looking for someone with a professional, friendly attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service. Previous medical experience is preferred.

🎉 Exciting News from the Girard Medical Center Foundation! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that the Girard Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $22,000 grant from the Pritchett Trust to help replace Girard Medical Center’s current DEXA machine!

This generous support will help us replace outdated technology with a new, advanced DEXA system—improving imaging capabilities, enhancing the care available to our patients, and creating opportunities to offer new services right here in our community.

Investments like this make a lasting impact on local healthcare, and we are incredibly grateful to the Pritchett Trust for believing in our mission and investing in the health of the communities we serve. 💙

The Girard Medical Center Foundation is grateful to receive a $26,000 grant through the 2026 Mount Carmel Foundation Legacy Grant program, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas.

This funding supported the purchase of new EKG machines for Girard Medical Center and its rural health clinics, helping enhance cardiac diagnostic services for the patients we serve.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas and the Mount Carmel Legacy Grant Program for investing in healthcare throughout our region!

The Girard Medical Center Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas for awarding us a Basic Human Needs Grant to support our project, "Pressure Check: Expanding Access to Home Blood Pressure Monitoring."

Because of this generous support, we were able to provide free blood pressure cuffs to patients in need through the Girard Medical Center Rural Health Clinics. These monitors helped patients take a more active role in managing their health and monitoring their blood pressure at home.

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas hosts individual charitable funds established by donors with a passion for giving back to their community. Grants from these funds assist people throughout Southeast Kansas and beyond. Questions about the Community Foundation may be directed to 620-231-8897.

We are grateful for community partnerships that help improve the health and well-being of families across Southeast Kansas. 💙
