The Girard Medical Center Foundation is grateful to receive a $26,000 grant through the 2026 Mount Carmel Foundation Legacy Grant program, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas.

This funding supported the purchase of new EKG machines for Girard Medical Center and its rural health clinics, helping enhance cardiac diagnostic services for the patients we serve.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas and the Mount Carmel Legacy Grant Program for investing in healthcare throughout our region!

The Girard Medical Center Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas for awarding us a Basic Human Needs Grant to support our project, "Pressure Check: Expanding Access to Home Blood Pressure Monitoring."

Because of this generous support, we were able to provide free blood pressure cuffs to patients in need through the Girard Medical Center Rural Health Clinics. These monitors helped patients take a more active role in managing their health and monitoring their blood pressure at home.

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas hosts individual charitable funds established by donors with a passion for giving back to their community. Grants from these funds assist people throughout Southeast Kansas and beyond. Questions about the Community Foundation may be directed to 620-231-8897.

We are grateful for community partnerships that help improve the health and well-being of families across Southeast Kansas. 💙
