We would like to welcome our newest addition to the NAMCP Family, The Value Based Care Council:

The Value Based Care Council provides a unique opportunity whereby representatives from pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, and diagnostic companies work directly with medical leadership from payers and providers of care, including 14 CMOs, Medical Directors, and pharmacy leadership from around the country.

The work of the VBCC is dedicated to the development and provision of tools and resources with practical utility that will support the medical leadership in their efforts to achieve the Triple Aim of improving quality of care, improving the patient experience, and reducing overall costs.

While the VBCC offers a unique forum for collaboration, it is also a unique entity that serves as an advocate for industry to the medical leadership, but also for the medical leadership to the industry. This two way advocacy enhances credibility, transparency, collaboration, and respect between all parties involved.

As you may be aware, ZIEXTENZO, a biosimilar of Neulasta®, is a long-acting G-CSF indicated to decrease the incidence of infection, as manifested by febrile neutropenia, in patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive anti-cancer drugs associated with a clinically significant incidence of febrile neutropenia.
