We Belong to the Earth
Before the noise,
before the rush,
there is breath
quiet, steady, shared.
The same breath
that moves through trees,
that dances across oceans,
that whispers through the soil beneath our feet.
We are not standing on the Earth
we are rising from it.
Bones shaped from mountains,
blood flowing like rivers,
hearts pulsing with the rhythm
of tides we cannot see
but always feel.
The Earth does not ask for perfection,
only presence.
To notice the warmth of sunlight
as a gift, not a guarantee.
To feel the ground hold us
without condition.
In every leaf
a reminder to grow.
In every storm
a reminder to release.
In every sunrise
a quiet invitation to begin again.
Gratitude becomes a language here,
spoken without words:
bare feet on grass,
hands in the dirt,
eyes lifted to the sky.
We are not separate.
Never were.
We are the Earth
learning to love itself
through us.
So today,
and every day,
we remember.
We soften.
We listen.
We belong.
Happy Earth Day!
