Harvested and packaged a FULL gallon of Cleavers this spring.

Cleavers are a new herb to myself, and finding it organically was so fun!

Cleavers can support the lymphatic system, as well as act as a circulation support. It carries a more cooling sensation, and because of these traits it can assist with wound healing. (This is not medical advice- just education- check with your practitioner before starting herbs; this herb can act like a diuretic so it really does demand respect).

My preferred way to enjoy this:
1 tsp of dried Cleavers
1/2 tsp of dried Peppermint (or a few leaves of fresh mint)
Infused in cool water for 4-6 hours. (Cleavers do better in a gentle brew not boiling water)

Fun fact: the seeds from cleavers can actually be roasted like coffee beans- they’re in the same family.

My approach to holistic wellness and functional labs is gentle, individualized, and education focused. These tools can help highlight patterns, stress, responses, nutritional foundations, and areas where the body may benefit from additional support and lifestyle attention.

I’m not the type of practitioner who sends you home with a bag full of supplements or a rigid protocol. I believe the heart of holistic wellness is honoring the body’s pace, supporting foundational habits, and helping clients better understand the messages their body may be communicating through daily patterns and experiences.

The functional wellness labs I offer are used as educational tools to help guide supportive wellness conversations alongside nutrition, lifestyle, bodywork, and nervous system support.

Your body craves morning light more than morning notifications ☀️📱

Catching natural sunlight within the first 30-60 minutes of waking helps “set” your internal clock (circadian rhythm) for the day. This simple habit can support:

✨ More stable energy
✨ Better focus & mood
✨ Healthier cortisol rhythm
✨ Improved sleep at night
✨ Nervous system regulation
✨ Hormone & metabolic support

Morning sunlight sends a signal to the brain that it’s time to wake up and get things moving. This helps your body naturally produce cortisol at the right time of day — giving you energy in the morning instead of feeling wired at night.

Even 5-15 minutes outside can make a difference. Bonus points if you:
🌿 Step outside barefoot
☕ Sip your coffee outdoors
🚶‍♀️ Take a short walk
👀 Avoid sunglasses for a few minutes so your eyes can fully receive the light signal

Cloudy days still count ☁️
