Everyone heals at a different rate after a rhinoplasty. It’s typical that the major swelling resolves over the first 3 months after surgery, but you won’t see a final result until around one year after surgery. Noticeable refinement happens in that year of healing. The changes for this patient from month 3 to month 12 are subtle but present: reduction in swelling in the dorsum and nostrils and more tip definition ❤️‍🩹👃🏼

A little over 3 months after primary rhinoplasty, the majority of the swelling is gone my patient is able to see the shape of her post-surgery nose. In our consultations, we discussed addressing both functional and cosmetic concerns by straightening her nose, lowering her dorsum, and defining her tip.
