There is a dark side to strength.
We celebrate the woman who can handle everything.
The one who keeps going.
The one everyone calls.
The one who holds everyone else together.
But what happens when she doesn’t know how to hold herself?
What happens when being strong becomes a survival skill?
When everyone believes you’re okay because you’ve become really good at functioning while you’re not?
And perhaps the hardest part...
What happens when you’ve spent so much of your life carrying everyone else that you don’t even know what you need anymore?
I’m learning that vulnerability isn’t the opposite of strength.
Rest isn’t weakness.
Asking for help isn’t failure.
And breaking doesn’t mean you’re broken beyond repair.
Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stop proving how much we can endure.
Strength is beautifully broken.
And healing doesn’t always mean becoming who you were before.
Sometimes it means finally discovering who you are underneath everything you’ve had to survive.

When I created this candle, I never had me in mind.

I created it from a memory of my mother. From a feeling. From the things I remember, the things I inherited, and the things I didn’t always have words for.

But somewhere along the way, Womb became about me, too.

This summer has been immensely overwhelming. And in the middle of trying to be everything for everyone, I’ve realized something:

I’m a mother. A single mother. And I deserve to be recognized in my own world, too.

I’m learning that finding myself doesn’t mean finding a version of me without my children.

It means finding me alongside them.

Because sometimes you become so good at being a mother, a provider, a protector, a worker, a problem-solver… that you start skipping between the cracks of all the roles you carry.

And I’m tired of skipping over myself.

So today, I acknowledge my mothering.

I acknowledge my effort.

I acknowledge the ways I’ve worked 10x harder because I want my children to experience something different than the hardships I’ve endured.

Is it working?

I don’t know.

Only time will tell.

But I know I’m trying.

And maybe that deserves to be acknowledged, too.

The womb is such a beautiful, complicated thing.

It holds pain.
It holds life.
It holds memory.
It holds possibility.

And sometimes I become so good at hiding the pain that I forget to acknowledge the beauty that exists alongside it.

So this candle means something different to me now.

I made Womb while remembering my mother.

But now, when I hold it, I see myself, too.

The mother I remember.
The mother I became.
And the woman I am still becoming. 🤍

When you’re dealing with grief, it doesn’t just make you sad…it can feel like a literal, physical weight sitting on your chest that makes it hard to move or breathe. It’s heavy, it’s exhausting, and that energy can get completely stuck.

Hi! I’m Mya…

I help people work through that heavy, stagnant energy so they can finally catch their breath and feel grounded again. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We look at the whole picture… combining intuitive guidance and ritual with simple, practical everyday tools like journaling, getting outside for a walk, or working with supportive plants and herbs to physically shift the weight.
Grief is a lot to carry, and you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to start moving the heaviness and finding your footing again, I’m here. 🤍💙🩵

I almost let the entire month of May pass in silence. But tonight, before the sun sets, I refuse to let my hard work go unnoticed.
On May 9th, Cyan Candle Co. officially turned 6 years old. 🕯️✨
If I’m being completely honest, I’m not exactly where I thought I would be by Year 6. But looking back, I have to remember how this brand was actually born.
When my mother passed away in 2018, I didn’t have the luxury of time to grieve. Just one month before, I welcomed my youngest child into the world. As a single mother who has always worked a full-time job while raising my kids and my niece, I had to keep moving. There was no room to stop.
But when 2020 hit and the world locked down, the grief I had been running from finally caught up to me. In that forced stillness, the memories flooded back, and I had no choice but to face them. Out of that raw, therapeutic purging, Cyan Candle Co. was born. It was my liferaft.
For six years, I’ve been putting one foot in front of the other. I’ve balanced a heavy career, the beautiful chaos of single motherhood, opening spaces, moving suites, and testing ideas that didn’t always land. And recently, losing my dad brought me completely full circle, forcing me right back into the roots of why I began this healing work.
Cyan Candle Co. is no longer just a standard candle shop. Over the last year, I have fully stepped into my purpose, operating holistic and spiritually-based services alongside my products under Daughter of the Root with Cyan Candle Co.
I am still maneuvering the pieces, and I am still finding my permanent footing in the midst of life’s shifts. It hasn’t been easy, but I am still here. I am still holding space.
To everyone who has supported me over these 6 years, thank you for walking this path with me. The flame is still burning. 🩵

I’ve been spending a lot of time with Clear Mind tea blend made at Cyan Candle co…
It’s become one of my own personal anchors. I don’t drink this because I need a boost…although it helps… I drink it when my spirit needs to come back into alignment.
The heart space feels heavy sometimes, and this blend is designed to gently stimulate that center, helping you soften. It offers that rare kind of energetic balance…the kind that brings you back to yourself without the jittery, hyperactive noise that other sources of energy leave behind. It’s for when you need to brighten your internal world, clear the fog, and finally hear yourself think again.
I’ve been sharing this with a few of you, and hearing that you’re feeling that same shift has been everything. This isn’t just about a drink; it’s about what you need to move through your day with a little more clarity and a lot more heart….

Even when life feels heavy, your light still exists. 💙
Pour love into yourself the same way you pour into others. What is meant to shine cannot be dimmed forever.

At Cyan Candle Co. we believe healing starts with creating space for peace, protection, and self-love. 🤍🩵.

Mother’s Day isn’t just brunch and flowers for everyone. For some of us, it’s a day of deep reflection on the women who shaped us…whether they are here or not.

Gayle didn’t birth me, but she was the Womb of my soul. When she transitioned in 2018, my world shattered. I spent years in a ‘Season of Survival’ before I realized that her legacy wasn’t just in my memories…it was in the fire I had yet to light.

Swipe through to see the journey from that shadow into the flame that is now Cyan Candle Co. 🕯️🧿.
