The Chapter participated in the Annual Armed Forces Day Parade on Saturday, May 10 in the town of Malta. We have been representing the Disabled American Veterans for several years at this wonderful event.

Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner was sworn in today in the Saratoga Springs area. She won reelection to continue representing our area. Carrie works to help all communities in New York with an appreciation for our community. I was there to support her celebration.

We participated in the Lighted Tractor Parade in Greenwich NY again this year. Rescue Ron drove his antique tractor with trailer. It was decorated well.

The Route 50 Diner is a strong supporter of the Military Community. As such, the Disabled American Veterans Marcelle-Nolan Chapter 158 presented them with a banner to hang up at the restaurant as a sign of their support. We appreciate their support of all military. The manager gladly accepted the banner on behalf of the owner.

It is with a heavy heart that we need to say goodbye to one of our beloved chapter members. Our Chaplain Emeritus Sid Gordon passed away yesterday and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our condolences go out to his wife Helen and family.
