We are in fearful times right now and there is a lot of chaos, and a lot of craziness, with all the news, the issues with stores selling out and long lines and just the despair 😩, With that comes social distancing because the Kids are now home with no schools open, Parents now may be home, people are distancing themselves because of what’s going on right now! However this is also a great time as well! How?
There are things that you can do while being homebound without negative isolation...
1. Spending time with kids leisurely and educational
We’ve been so busy with our lives coming and going work and school, sit down educate each other have some long conversations, talk about and reconnect with what’s going on with each other parent and children, have some teaching moments, talk about true history with the kids, play board games, and enjoy each other.
2. Take up a hobby now that you always wanted to do.
You wanted to try a recipe, or wanted to paint, this a great time to explore some of those things, you have some time on your hand do something that you wanted to do, which would also give you a mental break from the chaos.
3. Working out 💪🏽 at home
While you’re at home, with all the food and toilet paper 🧻 you’ve shopped for, you may not want to sit and do nothing. There are a plethora of free videos on You Tube and on demand to do simple daily exercise to keep the muscles and joints lubricated, fear can cause a physical imbalance that can increase cortisol that may cause weight gain, do a bit of movement to be healthy in mind, body and spirit.
4. Take an online class online and learn something and there are low cost and free courses online, or even on You Tube.
If you Google free online classes there are plenty educational nuggets you can grab onto, and You Tube has many videos on learning something, even the simplest things, plus it’s a mind reliever over all of the fear mongoring.
5. Start an online business, and there are ways to start online for free.
If you have had a passionate idea that you have always wanted to do, now is the time to work on it! There are places to get a free website, you have dropshopping, affiliate marketing based on the niche you have in mind. Now that you have the time to focus, do it!
6. Self Awareness and Self Reflections
This is the time to reassess where you are in your personal development, your connections, your faith and personal belief systems, who are you? What can I improve in myself, in my life, and in my life experiences, and where is personal growth needed.
Meditation, Yoga, Motivational videos can be good.
7. Don’t isolate yourself without being productive and maintain your mindset without fear control.
With every news channel and notification you get on your phone about it, it can be hard to not be fearful, but dont let it control your thoughts 💭 whatever your spiritual belief systems are hold dear to them. But keep positive vibes. If the news is too overwhelming right now, you can turn off the TV 📺 or put the phone down, step away take a breather and reset. Always take safety precautions, keep your eyes and mind open, and most of all make sure you wash your hands.
