They used to say 1 in 3, now they say 6 in 10.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month,
and this is a cause that holds a very special place in my heart.
It’s personal because I have my own story.
But it’s also personal because, over the years, women have trusted me with pieces of their stories—
stories shared quietly, privately, and in confidence.
I carry those stories with me.
Behind the statistics are real people.
Women who have lived through fear, control, manipulation, isolation, and abuse.
Women who have found the courage to leave,
women who are still finding their way,
and women who simply need someone to listen without judgment.
I am passionate about creating awareness because no one deserves to live in fear,
and no one should ever be made to believe that abuse is their fault.
To every survivor:
I see you.
I believe you.
Your story matters.
Your life matters.
And you deserve safety, freedom,
and a life where you can truly be yourself. 💜
This month, let’s not just wear purple—
Let’s listen.
Let’s believe.
Let’s speak up.
And let’s be part of creating a world where no one has to suffer in silence.
