Gloucester Annual Overdose Vigil Losing a loved one to substance use is a lonely experience. YOU ARE NOT ALONE The items will be donated to the Open Door. Please stay, linger & be together.

In the healing spirit and tradition set by other communities - Join us in coming together to remember those we have lost to overdose and to shed light on this ongoing tragedy. Luminaries & Love
DATE: Held Annually the last Monday in August in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day
Monday August 28th 2023 (raindate Tues 29th)
TIME: 6:30pm - 8:30pm

LOCATION: The Flag Pole at the Cut B

ridge., Stacy Boulevard Gloucester Ma. (GPS address 99 Western Ave Gloucester)

The event includes:
Creation & Lighting of 900+ Luminaries from years past
Bags & markers provided or you can make your bag in advance and bring it...
Memorial Table - Feel free to bring a picture of your loved one
Please bring canned Goods to help weigh down luminary bags. Community Collection sites for Canned Goods include:
Cape Ann Lanes - Lobby
Gloucester Cape Ann YMCA - Lobby

Luminaries and love is a peaceful stroll amongst the Luminaries surrounded by others who know and understand. WE REMEMBER. Volunteers Needed to help set up and Break down luminary bags
