A great week of recognition is underway! 🎉

Yesterday, we kicked off our employee recognition celebrations by bringing colleagues together to recognize the people who make a difference every day.

From going above and beyond to showing exceptional dedication to their work and their colleagues, these awards are a reminder that great work doesn’t go unnoticed.

And the best part? These employees are nominated by their peers. Because sometimes the people who work alongside us every day are the ones who see our impact most clearly.

As one employee shared about their colleague: "You see the people you support as individuals; you recognize what makes each person happy, and you work hard to create opportunities for them to experience those things."

We were proud to celebrate with the Walmart Cobleskill team as they were honored by The Arc New York with the Employer of the Year Award at our Schoharie location last evening.

For more than 30 years, the Cobleskill Walmart has provided meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They create opportunities to learn, grow, build confidence, develop friendships and, for some, achieve greater independence.

We were especially excited to celebrate alongside the people we support who have experienced that commitment firsthand. Jody, who has worked at Walmart for the past six years, started in carts. When he expressed interest in engines, he was offered a position in the automotive department, where he has built his skills and found work he truly enjoys. His story is one example of how Walmart listens to its employees, recognizes their strengths and creates opportunities for them to grow.

Congratulations to Manager Tim McLaughlin and the entire Cobleskill Walmart team on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for seeing ability, investing in people and showing our community what inclusive employment can look like.

We are grateful for this partnership and excited to celebrate all that is possible when people are given the opportunity to succeed.
