Homemade Liquid Dish Soap
Skip the store-bought bottles and mix up your own gentle, effective dish soap at home! This simple version cuts through grease, smells fresh, and costs just pennies per batch.
Yield: About 2½ cups
Ingredients
* 2–2½ cups hot water
* ½–¾ cup liquid Castile soap
* 1–1½ tablespoons Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
* 1–1½ tablespoons white vinegar
* 4–8 drops tea tree oil
Instructions
1. Dissolve the washing soda in the hot water, stirring until completely clear.
2. Add the liquid Castile soap, white vinegar, and tea tree oil.
3. Stir gently until everything is well combined (avoid creating too many suds).
4. Pour the mixture into a clean soap dispenser or bottle.
Tan’s Tip
Shake the bottle gently before each use, as a little separation is normal. If you prefer a thicker soap, you can reduce the water slightly next time. Tea tree oil adds a clean scent and a bit of natural antibacterial boost.
A big batch of homemade dish soap ready whenever you need it — simple, effective, and budget-friendly!
