And…

I woke up to coffee & this handwritten note from my husband, who somehow continues to love me well through all the chaos, exhaustion, business stress, motherhood, dreams, distractions & everything in between.

And honestly?
Being deeply known & deeply loved at the same time is one of the greatest gifts in life.

This man stands beside me through every version of me & I don’t take that lightly.

Love like this feels safe.
Steady.
Quiet.
Intentional.

And I’m so thankful for it 🤍

On Wednesday evenings my family has youth group & historically, it’s the one evening I’ve worked late since everyone’s occupied & doesn’t need me to feed them or otherwise care for them…

Well, the past few weeks I decided to stop working late on Wednesdays so I could finally have a few quiet hours alone at home…

Can you guess what has happened every. single. Wednesday that I haven’t worked late?

I’ll give you one guess…

Yep.
You got it.

Every single Wednesday evening, one or more of them has decided to stay home…

😭😭😭😭😭

Now don’t get me wrong — I love my family endlessly & don’t REALLY want to be without them…

But there is something magical about an empty house for a few hours.

No noise.
No distractions.
No expectations.

Just silence & a to-do list I control.

Maybe someday.

But apparently today is not the day… & now my motivation to tackle my alone-time to-do list is completely gone 😂
