🥩 Keep raw meat away from ready-to-eat foods
🍴 Use separate utensils for raw and cooked meat
⏰ Toss food left out over 2 hours—or 1 hour above 90°F
🌡️ Cook chicken to 165°F and burgers/brats to 155°F

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day 2026

Twenty-five years after International Overdose Awareness Day began, the message remains just as important: overdose continues to affect people from every walk of life.

Behind every statistic is a person — someone loved, valued, and deeply missed. And behind every loss is a ripple felt by families, friends, and communities.

Today, we remember those we have lost, support those who are struggling, and reaffirm the importance of prevention, compassion, treatment, and recovery.

25 years on. Still needed. Still remembering. Still working toward a future where fewer lives are lost to overdose. 💜

Air quality across the county is currently in the moderate range (AQI 70–100) due to lingering smoke from area wildfires.

While conditions are not currently in the unhealthy range for most people, those who are sensitive to air pollution—including children, older adults, and people with heart or lung conditions—may notice symptoms as smoke levels fluctuate.

💨 Keep an eye on the AQI and consider limiting prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity if air quality worsens.
