Please remember when you're visiting, that it is a privilege to be in her space!! Offer to do something, talk, LISTEN, bring a meal. DON'T expect to hold the baby! Mama may not be ready, and that's okay! When she is ready, you'll get your chance. Be patient, and don't push it 👍🏻🩷
Please don’t come over expecting to hold my newborn baby.
This isn’t about being rude, ungrateful, or keeping people away. It’s about protecting a tiny human who is brand new to the world and allowing our family time to bond, recover, and adjust.
Visits are appreciated, but please understand that holding the baby isn’t guaranteed. Some days I may need extra cuddles with my baby. Some days baby may be feeding, sleeping, or simply need the comfort of being with mom or dad.
The best way to support new parents isn’t always by holding the baby—sometimes it’s bringing a meal, folding a basket of laundry, entertaining older siblings, or simply understanding our boundaries.
Thank you for respecting our wishes and helping us protect this precious season of newborn life. 🤍
