We’re getting so excited for the GRACE Cancer Foundation Kearney Butterfly Release. This year, Anna Street Trolley will be there with ice cream, and we’ll have a temporary butterfly tattoo station for everyone to enjoy.

It’s a free community event filled with fun, hope, remembrance, and the unforgettable moment when hundreds of butterflies take flight together.

The GRACE Cancer Foundation Kearney Butterfly Release takes place on Thursday, June 18 at 6:00 PM at the Yanney Heritage Park Cope Amphitheater.

Registration closes Sunday, June 7th, and registering guarantees you one live butterfly to release.

Anna Street Trolley will be at the GRACE Cancer Foundation Kearney Butterfly Release on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Yanney Heritage Park Cope Amphitheater. Registration closes THIS Sunday, June 7th, and registering guarantees you a butterfly to release!

Come for the butterflies, the community, the hope, and the celebration — and enjoy a sweet treat while you’re there!

Meet the Model: Ashly Stanczyk

Ashly is walking as a colorectal cancer fighter whose journey has deeply impacted her family. After being diagnosed in June 2024, she underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and an ileostomy. Though her cancer is now terminal, Ashly and her family continue to take life day by day and appreciate every beautiful moment together.

Through every treatment, scan, and scare, Wyatt remained selfless, kind, and determined throughout his fight with Ewing Sarcoma. Makenna was blessed with 19 years beside him, and his love continues to live on through every memory.

After successfully battling prostate cancer in 2011, Earl was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2023. Now in remission, he is walking in honor of the many family members and friends who have faced cancer and in gratitude for the support he received throughout his journey.

Families should never have to face journeys like this alone.

“When Lexee was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, it was a devastating shock to our entire family. Hearing the worst news a mother could imagine shattered my world. Just days after her diagnosis, we reached out to the GRACE Cancer Foundation, and they immediately extended a helping hand.

For nine months, we made countless trips to Omaha for Lexee’s treatments, and GRACE was an incredible blessing during this time. They provided gas cards, easing the burden of affording those necessary trips, and gave Lexee a variety of fun and creative activities to keep her occupied during treatments. The team at GRACE was always loving, supportive, and there for anything we needed.

I honestly don’t know what we would have done without their unwavering care and support through this chapter of our lives. Today, Lexee has completed her treatments and is growing stronger every day. Thank you, GRACE Cancer Foundation, for everything you’ve done for our family!”
