Get to know our other two GRACE Gala couples! ✨

1. Annaka & Aaron Krafka
Annaka and Aaron are high school sweethearts and the proud parents of three daughters. Annaka is self-employed with Mary Kay, while Aaron is an Engineer and Project Manager at CNH Industrial. Cancer has personally touched their family through Annaka’s mom, Nancy Osborn, a cancer survivor, and Aaron’s grandmother, who passed away from cancer. They are excited to be part of this year’s GRACE Gala as a way to give back to their community!

2. Heather & Wes Tjaden
Heather and Wes Tjaden are proud to support the GRACE Cancer Foundation, an organization that has become deeply meaningful in their lives. Heather, the Office Manager at St. Leo’s Catholic Church and a GRACE board member, is currently fighting inflammatory breast cancer and has experienced firsthand the hope, support, and compassion GRACE provides to patients and families. Wes, a Safety Officer for Grand Island Public Schools, has stood beside Heather throughout her journey and is dancing alongside her in support of her and everyone affected by cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

For GRACE, breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink. It’s about the people behind the diagnosis and making sure they know support is available right here in our communities.

GRACE provides financial assistance, support groups, mental health support, survivorship resources, wigs, prosthetics, lymphedema solutions and more to help ease some of the burdens that can come with a cancer diagnosis.

And an important reminder: GRACE is here to help regardless of income, age or type of cancer.

This month, we honor those currently fighting breast cancer, celebrate survivors and remember those we have lost. Most importantly, we want you to know that you don’t have to go through it alone.

When you donate to GRACE, what does that actually mean?

It might mean putting gas in someone's car so they can get to treatment.

It might help cover groceries, a utility bill, rent, medication or another expense that has become harder to manage because of cancer.

In 2025, GRACE provided more than $226,000 in assistance to cancer patients and their families.

Those dollars stayed right here, helping people in our communities when they needed it.
