WHA member Vail Health Shaw Cancer Center recently acquired a myOSL reader. The care team now receives the radiation dose results within 20 to 30 minutes and can adjust a patient’s dosage for the following day’s treatment.

Thanks to philanthropy, Shaw Cancer Center recently acquired a myOSL reader, which measures radiation dose during treatment. Having the device on-site means results are now available in 20 to 30 minutes, rather than waiting a week.

Since most patients undergo radiation therapy over five consecutive days, this faster turnaround allows Shaw's medical team to adjust the dosage for the next day's treatment—improving the quality and safety of care.
