Muskegon Pride has a home in our shop and meets every Saturday, here for coffee and conversation. We feel that love is love and we are proud to be an inclusive and supportive space.

Let’s celebrate friends, love, and pride with some healing henna! 🖤🌈

In addition to my design books and freestyle option, I will have some fun pride designs available to choose from!

I will have a henna station set up at The Coffee Factory from 11am-4pm. First come, first serve - no appointments necessary.

Henna tattoos will be $20-40 depending on size and intricacy. Payment methods accepted: cash, debit/credit, Venmo, and PayPal.

Henna is for everyone regardless of age, gender, or race. 🖤

Meet “The Grey Witch”

Hello from your friendly neighborhood witch!

My name is Miranda Sorensen and I am a professional henna artist located in West Michigan. While my home base is in the Muskegon area, I am able to travel all over the state to accommodate henna parties and events.

I have been doing henna for over a year, and I am currently in the process of becoming a certified artist through the ICNHA, an international organization dedicated to the education of using only natural, chemical-free henna paste. Please visit their website at www.icnha.org to learn about about their program. With that being said, I make all of my own henna paste that is 100% natural, organic, and safe for your skin. I import my own henna powder through a supplier out of Sojat City, Rajasthan, India. After trying several different henna powders, I have found my supplier’s henna to be of the best quality and giving a deep, lasting stain. I take great care to ensure my henna paste is made with the finest ingredients and is safe for all skin types.

How I began my henna journey...

I have always considered myself an artsy and creative individual. For many years I have dabbled in mediums such as acrylic and oil paints, and have received many painting and art lessons. “You asked me what I do for me... I love to paint. Most of the time I have all these thoughts bouncin' around in my head... But with a brush of my hand, the world just gets kinda quiet.” (The Notebook) However, over the course of growing up and becoming an adult, I wasn’t able to put the time I wanted into painting, and eventually set aside my paint brush to pursue other things.

After my son was born, I wanted to get back to doing something creative that would help me find myself again after motherhood. As a long time admirer of henna and always wanting to try my hand at it, I decided to dive-in head first and learn as much as I could about natural henna application. I am self-taught, though I have a wonderful henna artist community both local and abroad. There are many talented henna artists I follow who inspire and teach me every day.

In addition to being a henna artist, I am also a practicing witch. I consider myself to be more nontheistic over a strict atheist... but the main point is I don’t believe in one god or any gods for that matter. Sometimes I will include certain gods or goddesses into my practice, but mostly for their symbolism and what they represent. I absolutely love mythology and astrology and will most likely have posts related to the two.
