This made me laugh, but in all seriousness, it also reminds me of something that's been on my mind lately.
Over the years, I've watched herbalism become increasingly popular, and while I love seeing people reconnect with plants and natural wellness, I've also seen something else happen.
I've watched vendors see a successful herbalist sale their product, go and find a recipe online, make a batch, and immediately start selling it. No real study. No understanding of the herbs. No knowledge of how those plants interact with medications, health conditions, pregnancy, allergies, or even with each other.
And honestly, that's one of the reasons I started Broken Halo in the first place.
I didn't build this business to chase trends or maximize my profit. I built it because I genuinely love herbs, plant medicine, and helping people find what works best for them. Not what is currently popular on social media.
Herbalism isn't copy-and-paste!
A tea blend isn't just a handful of herbs thrown together because they sound good. A tincture isn't effective simply because someone saw it go viral online. Plant medicine requires knowledge, research, experience, and respect.
The truth is, there is no one-size-fits-all remedy!
When you buy herbal products—especially products carrying premium price tags—ask questions. Ask why those herbs were chosen. Ask about their benefits, their cautions, and who should or shouldn't use them. Especially ask where the maker learned their craft!
A good herbalist won't be offended by those questions. They'll be happy to answer them.
At Broken Halo, QUALITY WILL ALWAYS COME BEFORE PROFIT, ALWAYS!!
I'd rather spend extra time sourcing quality ingredients, researching formulations, and educating my customers than rush a trendy product to market just because it's selling online.
My goal has never been to sell the most products. My goal has always been to create products I can stand behind with confidence and integrity.
The herbal community doesn't need more people chasing trends.
It needs people willing to learn, study, ask questions, admit when they don't know something, and respect the plants they're working with.
That's the foundation Broken Halo was built on.
Not profit. Not popularity. Not whatever is trending on social media this week.
Just a genuine love for herbalism, quality products, and helping people make informed choices about their wellness.
So thank you to everyone who has supported Broken Halo, trusted my work, asked questions, and allowed me to share my passion with you.
Because plant medicine deserves more than trends. It deserves respect.
