There are several factors that make your first event as a new service go well. In our case at Michigan Heart Check, they are easy to count and give thanks for!!
1) A great team including Allie Brummell, Brynna Hilton, Dakotah Costley and Tayler Schofield. Elise, Kris and I are thrilled to have you part of what we are doing!
2) Aimee Terry is a relentless parent who is a great champion for the cardiac screening of our youth. Thank you Aimee for the time you spent with us and for the posts, shares phone calls, text messages and overall sharing of the event!
3) Our volunteers from Grand Valley State University and Central Michigan University. 8 students in total and the GVSU students were even on spring break! Your service is greatly valued!
4) Grandville High School Athletics is a great team to work with. Brian Parsons, Charlie Kleinheksel and Michael Seger are top notch people and have the health of their students at the heart of what they do.
5) The Grandville Parents responded to the offering and shared it with each other as well as parent from neighboring districts. Thank you!!
With that said, we cant wait to serve the next school and bring more awareness to Sudden Cardiac events!
