🌿 A Little Time to Unplug 🌿

From Wednesday, August 19 through Sunday, August 23, I’ll be stepping away from work and spending some much-needed time with my family.

One thing I talk about often in my practice is listening to our bodies and our nervous systems—and I believe in practicing what I teach. Rest isn’t something we have to earn. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is unplug, slow down, be present, and give our bodies and minds a chance to reset.

So for a few days, that’s exactly what I’ll be doing. 🤎

During this time, I will not be available by phone, messages, or email. I’ll begin checking and responding when I return. Please be patient with me as I catch up—I expect it may take a little time over the following couple of weeks to get completely caught up.

In the meantime, online booking remains open, and e-gift certificates are always available if you’d like to plan a little rest and restoration of your own.

✨ Maybe this is your reminder, too: put the phone down for a while, get outside, spend time with your people, take the nap, or simply sit somewhere quiet. Your nervous system needs downtime just as much as the rest of your body does.

🍂 SEPTEMBER APPOINTMENTS ARE OPEN — GRANTSVILLE 🍂

Fall is a great time to get back into a routine of taking care of your body. September appointments are now available at my Grantsville location, including openings specifically for clients who need more clinical, focused bodywork for chronic or recurring issues.

Clinical massage appointments may be a good fit if you’ve been dealing with:
• Chronic neck, shoulder or low-back tension
• Headaches or TMJ discomfort
• Sciatic-type discomfort, hip or glute tension
• Limited mobility or range of motion
• Repetitive-use or work-related tension
• Athletic soreness and recovery needs
• Areas that just keep tightening back up despite stretching or exercise

My approach blends Swedish and deep tissue massage with active/passive stretching and movement, and when appropriate we can incorporate techniques such as cupping, Gua Sha/IASTM, TMJ work or lymphatic techniques.

The goal isn’t always simply to “relax.” Sometimes we need to slow down, assess what your body is doing, and give a stubborn area some focused attention.
