Paul and I just celebrated 49 years of marriage. 💜

In thinking back, some times have been easy and fun and some have had friction and moments that have tested us to the core.

It hasn't been the chemistry, or sense of compatibility, or even commitment that has kept us going.

It's something much deeper.

In my recent blog post, I share the spiritual principles that have actually sustained us — including a moment when the stakes felt enormous, our instincts were completely opposite, and Paul did something that was one of the most spiritually courageous things I've ever witnessed.

(There were also rainbows. Perfectly timed, impossible-to-explain rainbows. 🌈)
