The switch over with KDMC and ST Claire to UK is causing glitches in their system and interrupting care. It will take them a while to work out the kinks and settle down- we want to make sure you’re aware of a couple of issues.

If we are not listed as your P*P we will NOT automatically receive notifications of hospitalizations or emergency room visit. This will also include any specialty visits. We had one patient request to have this fixed and they denied her stating they can’t do this over the phone and she is home bound. So please fix your chart if you can for continuity of care.

We have left messages for patient registration so we could update our patient list, and we have not received a phone call back-I’m sure they are fighting fires internally. Retrieving medical records is taking at least 24 hours-I would say due to multiple request flooding their office.

We have requested access with UK- we are like many others waiting for access. Until then we are stuck requesting medical records manually. This change over has thrown everyone back into the Stone Age.

So bare with us! If we know you went we can obtain records and provide the great care that we always do- the devil is in the details and we pay attention to those.
