Dr. Burke Hansen will be joining Northwest Physicians as of 9/1/2026!
Dr. Hansen was raised on a ranch in Highwood MT. He earned his undergraduate degree from Carroll College in 1995. He completed medical school at Creighton University in 1999. In 2002 he completed his residency training in Greeley Colorado at North Colorado Family Medicine. Dr. Hansen has been practicing full scope family medicine in Dillon MT from 2002 to 2026.
A 2014 sabbatical in New Zealand helped shape his commitment to a work-life balance and a patient centered whole person approach to care.
Dr. Hansen enjoys teaching and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Outside the clinic he enjoys fly fishing, bird hunting with his black lab, beekeeping and following his favorite sports teams.

Dr. James Legan is retiring at the end of August. He has been practicing internal medicine here for 33 years! To quote C.M. Russell:

Dr. Legan is pleased to announce Dr. Burke Hansen will be taking over his practice! We will post the Dr. Burke Hansen's bio tomorrow.
