On Friday, our Doctor of Physical Therapy students received their white coats, marking an important milestone in their journey to becoming physical therapists.

This tradition recognizes their dedication, growth, and readiness to begin the clinical phase of their education. More than a symbol, the white coat represents a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and the responsibility of serving others.

On Friday, we celebrated the dedication, resilience, and hard work that brought these future nurses to this incredible milestone. Through countless hours of learning, clinical experiences, and hands-on training, they have prepared to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and communities.

Being a good healthcare provider goes beyond the hospital or clinic.

Volunteers from Bellin College BSNA and their advisors spent their time playing bingo with residents at Remus assisted living.

Students from our 15-Month BSN program also served at Paul's Pantry on their last day of clinicals as Bellin College Nursing Students before graduation.

After more than three decades as a nurse and 15 years as an educator, Melissa Hamachek took on a new challenge: becoming the student again.

Driven by a passion for mental health and a desire to make an even greater impact, Melissa enrolled in Bellin College's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Today, as one of the program's first graduates, Melissa is helping patients access the care and support they need when they need it most.

Melissa's journey is a reminder that growth can happen at any stage of a career and that stepping outside your comfort zone can lead to meaningful new opportunities to serve others. 💙
