In 2019, John Plageman asked, “What if we had a sober support table at Lambeau Field?”
That question grew into Section Yellow. 💛

Over the past seven years, JP’s leadership helped bring sober support to Lambeau Field and the NFL Draft, build partnerships with local sports organizations, and share the message of recovery through national media.

As JP steps back from co-leading Section Yellow to focus on his career and family, he will remain a dedicated volunteer and important part of our community.

💛 Meet the people helping shape the future of Section Yellow Nation!

We’re excited to introduce the newly formed Section Yellow Board of Directors—a group of passionate individuals bringing together diverse experiences, perspectives, and a shared commitment to supporting recovery, reducing stigma, and building community.

Each member has a personal reason for getting involved. Meet the team, pictured from left to right:

Sober support belongs wherever fans gather. 💛
Thomas shared a story about Andy Borden and fellow Buffalo fans working to build sober community in Orchard Park, with the hope of bringing a sober support table to their stadium. Their efforts have drawn inspiration from Section Yellow—and we’re cheering them on.
This is about helping more people enjoy the teams they love while feeling connected and supported in their choice not to drink.
