Meditation-That quiet place to come and discover a few tools to help calm some of the chaos—in the body, in the mind, in the soul.
Of course, we can meditate on our own. We can find a meditation online, sit in our favorite chair, or in my case, crawl into my sauna blanket and settle in.
But there is something really beautiful about practicing together.
Having a live person there to hold space for you.
To offer a little guidance
A little structure
A little consistency
And simply to remind you to come back to yourself
I have been thinking a lot about how much meditation has become a part of my own life.
Not because it is easy
And definitely not because it makes everything perfect
But because it gives me a place to pause
When I am in a meditation class, my only job is to be on my mat.
I can’t get up and change the laundry
Send the text
Clean the counters
Check one more thing off the list
I get to slow down
Notice my breath
Notice my body
Notice the places I’ve been holding for dear life
I spend so much of my day working from the neck up. Meditation gives me a chance to come back down into myself.
And yes… my mind is still a little crazy sometimes. I am absolutely not a master at clearing my mind.
That’s not really the point
The point is that we practice coming back
Coming back to the breath
Coming back to the body
Coming back to this moment
So Thursday evenings at 7:45 PM, I am teaching a meditation class for anyone who feels like they could use a little more space, a little more calm, and a little more presence in their life.
You don’t need to know how to meditate
You definitely don’t need to be “good” at it
We will simply sit, breathe, notice, and practice together
It would be lovely to sit together.
Thursday 7:45 PM
Come exactly as you are.
