☀️ MONDAY HEALTH RESET | LUMA FAMILY HEALTH
✨ LET’S TALK ABOUT FATIGUE — PART 2
Always tired? Let’s talk about what your body might be trying to tell you.
Last Monday, we talked about how fatigue is a symptom, not a diagnosis.
But what happens when you’re getting enough sleep and STILL feel exhausted?
As a family nurse practitioner, I hear this all the time:
“I’m tired constantly, but my labs came back normal.”
Here’s the thing: Not every cause of fatigue shows up on routine blood work.
When evaluating persistent fatigue, there are several things I may consider, depending on your symptoms and medical history:
🩸 CBC – Checking for anemia
🦋 Thyroid – Could your thyroid be underactive?
💉 B12 & Iron – Could nutritional deficiencies be contributing?
🍬 Blood Sugar/A1c – Looking for blood sugar abnormalities
☀️ Vitamin D – Testing when clinically indicated
⚖️ Hormones – Evaluating when symptoms suggest an imbalance
And sometimes, the answer isn’t in your blood work at all. Sleep apnea, chronic stress, medications, and other medical conditions can all contribute to fatigue.
🤍 My approach? Don’t just treat the fatigue. Find out WHY you’re tired.
Next Monday, we’re diving into Vitamin B12 injections. Who actually benefits, and can they really help with energy?
💬 Have you ever been told your labs were normal, but you still felt exhausted?
I’d love to hear your experience!
