Thank you to all who joined us for our August Memory Cafe: Garden Goodness. 🍅🥕

We had a wonderful group this past week, with special guests from the Greendale Children's Garden who provided a lovely sampling of produce they grew this summer, provided a farmer's market, where participants could pack a goodness bag to go, guessed the weight of giant vegetables, and harnessed the power of the sun to make our own prints, featuring fragrant garden herbs!

As always, special thanks to AARP Wisconsin for sponsoring our event and to Franklin Place Memory Care for supplying us with dips to go with all the fresh veggies, and of course, to Harbour Village for the jam-filled thumbprint cookies!

Thank you to all who joined us for our July Memory Cafe: Sun, Sun, Sun. 🌞 While the sun wasn't willing to play ball on that stormy day, we brought the beach inside with a wonderful round of balloon volley, tunes that brought us back to summers past, and a bonfire with some s'mores cookies (thanks Harbour Village)!

Fishing fans: This free event is coming up Wednesday, August 12th from 10am - 2:00 at the Urban Ecology Center, hosted by Milwaukee Police Department - District 3! Register by emailing [email protected]

Join us for this Dementia Friendly event held in collaboration with the City of Milwaukee Police Department, District 3. This event is geared towards both older adults and persons in the early stages of dementia and their care partners. Please share with anyone who would be enriched by this experience.

Join us for an inclusive Open House celebrating Wehr Nature Center’s commitment to equitable access to the outdoors for people of all ages and abilities. This free community event invites everyone to explore nature through accessible experiences, adaptive recreation, and meaningful connections with local accessibility partners.
Enjoy summer picnic snacks from local vendors, discover adaptive outdoor equipment, and participate in activities designed to support a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. We believe everyone deserves access to nature — and this event is designed to empower all abilities to love, experience, and value the natural world.

As a reminder: There will be NO Greendale Memory Cafe in May, since it would fall on Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

For veterans and their loved ones: We thank you for your service, your bravery, and your sacrifice.
We will be holding you all especially in our thoughts and esteem today!

We hope to see you next month on Monday, June 22nd for our next Memory Cafe.

Thank you to all who joined us for our March Memory Cafe: Fur Friends. 🐶🐱 We had a special visit from emotional support pup, Tiggy from the Village of Greendale Police Department, enjoyed our own treats, and making some "cat candy" to donate to the Wisconsin Humane Society!

Thanks all around to the Community Learning Center staff who participated in a supply drive to make this donation a real group effort. Greendale Public Library Greendale Park and Recreation Greendale Public Health Department

Today's the day! We're excited to welcome you to the first Greendale Memory Cafe of 2026!

We hope to see you this afternoon, Monday, January 26th from 2:30-4:00pm at the Greendale Hose Tower, 5699 Parking St., Greendale WI

Please park in the lot directly in front of the Hose Tower and come in from the cold for an afternoon of community and creativity!

Today's Program is Winter Wonders: Explore watercolor painting and enjoy winter reminisce. ❄️

And since you're here, a sneak preview for our program next month on February 23rd, Happy Hearts: Create soft heart ornaments and savor some chocolate treats! 💗

New to caregiving or would like additional resources? Sign up for the the ADRC's virtual course: Powerful Tools for Caregivers. Gain tools for reducing stress, improving self-confidence, making tough decisions, and focusing on your health and wellness while caring for a loved one.

Classes will be held online on Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm beginning January 15th through February 19th.
Available in both English and Spanish!
