Just another quiet morning on the square in my shop this morning had me thinking…..

Lately, I’ve been caught somewhere between feeling behind and reminding myself to be present.
There’s always something I should be doing.
Something I haven’t finished.
Something I forgot.
Someone who seems ten steps ahead of me.
And if I’m not careful, I can spend so much time worrying about where I think I should be that I completely miss where I actually am. ❤️
The truth is, life isn’t waiting for the to-do list to be finished.
It’s happening in the early mornings. The conversations. The laughter. The people sitting right in front of us. The ordinary moments we don’t realize are special until they’ve already passed.
Maybe I am behind on some things.
But maybe being fully present for the life I’m living right now is more important than constantly trying to catch up.
So today, I’m giving myself permission to leave a few things undone, put down the mental checklist, and just be here.
Because someday, I have a feeling these are the moments I’ll wish I could come back to. ❤️
